How did your journey as an author begin?
officially, it began in 2022 when i decided to just write this book on a complete whim because my friend had sent me this publication and me being impulsive, i just kind of went for it without a second thought.
Was it something you always wanted to pursue?
for most of my life i think it’s always been something i’ve wanted to seriously pursue as a career and i’m ecstatic that i finally got to.
Who or what motivated you to write?
i think just the enjoyment of writing was almost enough motivation, but then having my best friend, justice’s encouragement through the process definitely emphasized all of that and it pushed me more through it.
Do you have a tip that you can offer your peers (poets and writers worldwide)?
just to write what you truly enjoy and don’t hold back on anything, create what you want to create.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
i see myself continuing to write, hopefully full time and just being able to make a real living off of something that i love to do.
What does being an author mean to you?
i think to me it means being able to put any pent up emotions and creativity i have into something i love and just being able to share it with people.
What’s your favorite quote and who’s it by?
probably kody keplinger, she wrote one of my favorite books and i think that it’d just be so amazing to write a book alongside her.
If you could co-author with anyone – dead or alive – who would it be and why?
Timothy Palmer, my son. He’s a talented speaker, essayist, poet and song-writer. Working with him on a project would be awesome!
