Renaissance Reads shelved books by self-published authors via our consignment online bookstore from September 2020 to June 2024

Our goal was to support over 3 million self-published author.

Renaissance Reads only shelved books by Winn Publications’ authors and self-published authors. With over 3 million self-published authors out there, and very few to none bookstores supporting them, Renaissance Reads filled in that gap. Renaissance Reads stood with the publishing part of our company, Winn Publications’ mission to amplify indie authors’ voices. We did this by creating opportunities for them to sell their books and get in front of their readers. When they placed their books on our “digital” bookshelf, we shared their book on the sales page, added their book to our online and printed catalog, and made some of them available for purchase at the Sunshine Handmade Market and all events that we hosted or attended throughout the years.

Spotlighted Self-Published Authors, their books and their message From Sept. 2020 to June 2024

Our goal was to support self-published authors.

Winn Publications migrated all of our author interviews to Renaissance Read’s (formerly W.E. Bookstore Online) blog to amplify the author’s voices. Whether they choose to include their books on our bookshelves or not, the opportunity was opened to all self-published authors. We hoped that by making this service free, more authors would take advantage of the opportunity to get in front of our readers and potentially sell a book.
